Margin floor

Set in Settings → Margin Guard (Growth+). Default 25%, adjustable.

Margin % = (price − unit cost) ÷ price
With a discount, the discounted price is used.

The floor applies in Promotions (previews and labels), Analytics → Margin Guard, and checkout when enforcement is on.

When a promo is below floor

Growth (no checkout enforcement):

  • Warnings and labels shown in Promotions and Analytics
  • Checkout is unchanged: Warn only

Scale (with Additional store features):

Mode Behavior
Warn only Alerts in app only: checkout unaffected
Auto-cap at checkout Margin Cap function limits CodeRally automatic discounts so estimated margin stays at or above the floor
Block checkout Cart validation stops checkout if any line would fall below floor (given synced costs)

Labels on promotions

  • Unknown: no cost on SKU
  • Est.: partial/estimated coverage

Fix via Product costs.

Margin Simulator (Scale)

Open Margin Simulator from app navigation. Test hypothetical discounts against your costs before applying live promotions.

Setup checklist (Scale + enforcement)

  1. Growth+ COGS with good coverage: see Product costs
  2. Set margin floor and When below floor mode (not Warn only if you want checkout action)
  3. Enable additional features: see Additional store features
  4. Click Sync costs to checkout
  5. Test checkout with a product above and below floor
